Thank you for the reminder that if people share a list, it’s intentional! I like to select something from a list and something that’s a surprise/random. For several years, I’ve begun holiday shopping early in the year. It helps manage seasonal spending and it’s when I pick up most of the surprise gifts. Experiences are 💯 so fun!
Thanks, Jill! I love the idea of shopping all year round for those surprise gifts! I bet you have some excited recipients every year! Thank you for sharing :)
Your last 2 paragraphs are spot on. Be grateful to spend time with your loved ones. Let’s thank God for the people were still have around and cherish the moments we still have with them. Happy thanksgiving hope to see you soon. God willing. Love and miss you
Love all these ideas. I took it one step further and instituted no-gifting over holidays with my family. We all agreed it’s stressful and feels forced to give gifts for prescribed holidays, so instead we give gifts when we feel like it or find the PERFECT thing, which may or may not line up with a holiday.
I don’t even give my kids gifts really -- we try to do an experience or else just focus on other aspects of the holiday like a party or decorations.

That's a great approach to gift giving- I am going to adopt that for my husband at least and work on the rest of my fam! Thank you for sharing!
I love gifting consumable items! Baked goods, jam, granola have been my go to!
I will gladly accept any of those gifts from you and also adding granola to my list of things to give! Now that I have your recipe!
